Spooky Zoo Event

Spooky_Zoo_4color03Want to dust off your yukata? Like the outdoors? Interested in helping out in the community? Join JETAA Chicago at this year’s Spooky Zoo event at the Lincoln Park Zoo! Each year Chicago Lincoln Park Zoo holds a special Halloween event for neighborhood children to come and explore the exhibits and celebrate Halloween in a “free, safe and family-friendly environment.” This year’s event will be held on Saturday, October 23 from 10am-2:30pm.

Volunteers are needed to help out in the educational exhibits, to pass out candy, and to provide support for the event. Volunteers are encouraged to wear costumes as there will be a volunteer costume contest during the volunteer breakfast from 10-11am. JETAA Chicago is suggesting that our volunteers use “Japan-themed” costumes.

If you’d like to join your fellow JETAA Chicago members for this event, please contact Kristin Kutella at kristin_kutella@yahoo.com by the end of September. We hope to see you there!
