JETAA Chicago will fill its Junior Treasurer position this October to work alongside Senior Treasurer, Steven Sundstrom. Please let us know if you are interested, or have questions about the role. The Treasurer controls funds we receive through annual Grant-in-Aid from the Council of Local Authorities for International Relations (CLAIR) (see this link that explains why). As the Junior Treasurer, you would support the Senior Treasurer to determine funding for our local activities, keep records up-to-date, and correspond with CLAIR New York on use of grant funds.
This is a volunteer position, and there is no requirement for previous financial training, but any previous experience with budgets and holding a bank account will be a benefit. JETAA Chicago operates as a charitable organization and is now applying for non-profit status, so the Senior Treasurer will focus on that endeavor. The Junior position is a wonderful opportunity for someone to gain financial experience in a dynamic organization with a modest budget.
Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with questions or information about why you might be selected as our next Junior Treasurer.
