Dear JET Alumni,
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan and the Japan Tourism Agency would like to invite JET Program Alumni who lived and worked in Iwate-ken, Fukushima-ken, Miyagi-ken, or Sendai-shi, to visit their former towns and reconnect with their former colleagues and students, in order to send a positive message about the area’s recovery from the March 11th earthquake and tsunami.
The visit would be for one week between July and September, depending on the JET Alumni’s schedule. The Japanese government will pay for round-trip airfare to and from Japan, transportation in Japan, hotel stays, meals, and insurance.
In order to participate, interested JET alumni MUST make contact with their former Contracting Organization have the Contracting Organization fill out the attached “Confirmation of Acceptance.” Interested JET alumni must also provide the additional information and documents listed in the attached “Application Guidelines.”
